OVERVIEW:
Kent BMW is a BMW Group website that brings together the sister dealerships of Broad Oak Ashford and Broad Oak Canterbury. The site features a latest news Blog, group used car stock and (for the first time) group new car stock with PCP offers.
BUSINESS NEED:
The Broad Oak Group was keen to protect the BMW retail new car sales within their area of influence in East Kent. At the time the dealer websites provided by the manufacturer (and the parent group website) were not featuring highly in search engines such as Google and they lacked any new car offers. The assumption by the management at Broad Oak was that customers who searched the web in Kent were finding other BMW dealers before they found their local dealer and this presented a lost opportunity.
SOLUTION:
Motor Trade Solutions worked with the management team of Broad Oak BMW to come up with the best way to market new cars and get local exposure. It was agreed that to attract retail customers, the new car stock had to be shown with BMW SELECT PCP offers. MTS created a system that was easy to upload and update as stock and finance offers were changed.
With regard to looking after the local market, the url kentbmw.co.uk was chosen to be used as the brand name which also identified the target market. MTS designed the website so that those using search engines who were searching for new or used BMW in the towns and localities of Kent would find the site ranking highly in their search.

In its first full quarter (q1 2008), KentBMW.co.uk generated 8 extra new car incremental sales ? which was |

nearly 10% of all new BMW retail cars sold during that 3 months. |
