OVERVIEW:
The Vikings Canterbury Mercedes-Benz Specialists website brings together the used Mercedes-Benz stock for both the sites in Sturry Road, Canterbury and highlights the benefits that Vikings are official Authorised Repairers for Mercedes-Benz.

The dealership also uses the Dragon2000 Dealer Management System which integrates with sales, aftersales, parts department and accounts. It also automatically feeds the used car stock to the Vikings Canterbury website with up to 9 pictures per car.

BUSINESS NEED:
During 2002 Mercedes-Benz UK totally restructured the dealer network across the country, at this time Vikings became a Mercedes-Benz Specialist and required a stand-alone Dealer Management System.

As Mercedes-Benz Specialists and not being an official sales franchise Vikings had to effectively market their used Mercedes stock and knew that they had to have an effective web presence to advertise on both a local and national basis.

In 2003 Vikings became the first Mercedes-Benz Official Workshop (formerly known as Mercedes-Benz Authorised Repairer) and wanted to highlight this great benefit to their customers.

SOLUTION:
Motor Trade Solutions installed a Dragon 2000 http://www.dragon2000.co.uk/ Dealer Management System (DMS) into the business which provided printed output personalised to the company and branding. The system included everything from sales and purchase invoicing to profit and VAT reports. The system supports SAGE, digital photos and updated the new website as stock was added/removed.

Motor Trade Solutions developed a managed website for the TC Motorhomes which worked in harmony with the new DMS and also featured a search facility for Used Mercedes-Benz and Specialist Used Cars http://www.vikingscanterbury.co.uk/used_mercedes_cars.htm . This allowed stock to be searched and arranged in a variety of formats by model, fuel type and choice of transmission. The listing can also be sorted by price or age of car in ascending or descending order.

The marriage of our system meant that information only had to be keyed-in once which then populated the accounts system, service database and the website stocklists.

The site also includes a Vikings Offers blog http://www.vikingscanterbury.co.uk/latest_offers.htm with RSS feeds and a dedicated Aftersales Section with Parts and Servicing for Mercedes-Benz Cars.
